July 16th,2017 -All Hands on Deck!-Seed Swap and Seed Start

In July, we’re having a seed swap!
Seeds, Seeds and More Seeds! A true GROWers favorite time of year.

Do you have too many tomatoes? A plethora of parsley? An excess of eggplant? A collection of carnations? Bring all your extra seeds and swap them with others from the community to achieve a better balance in everyone’s gardens, free of cost!

Stick around after seed swapping to help us start our long season fall/winter veggies in the hoophouse. Tomatoes, eggplants, cabbage family and fall pumpkins are on the seed starting list. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring your preferred sun protection.

    Note about seeds:
Seed swapping is a fun free event and we do not wish to turn anyone away. All seeds will be accepted for the swap, however if you have specific requirements for your home garden (non-GMO, heirloom, open pollination, etc), please research brands and carefully read packets before taking them home. If you are providing seeds which you have information on, it would be a great help to other gardeners if you would be willing to answer their questions at the swap. If you are newer to gardening and don’t have those answers, don’t worry. Someone will be able to help so we can all learn and GROW together.
